If Macho Boys name turns you off at first just remember – they’re from Portland, Oregon – one of the most left-leaning, crust punk, anarchist cities in the US. So yeah, leave the doubts at the door because of course Macho Boys are going to be good! Chunky, stomping old school ‘82 hardcore which adds some left-field flavours of the Circle Jerks and The Runaways (see the Macho Boys’ song Pig Sweat) but they’re also fast, feminist and sing about beating people up. So yeah – what’s not to love, this record is fun!
